Alberta Health Services (AHS) is offering a new, secure web-based portal for Albertans to enter any out-of-province and out-of-country COVID-19 immunizations they've received to their health records.

New daily infection counts have been in the 100s since June 7, with the exception of 313 cases found on June 9.

An additional six deaths were reported as the province nears 2,300 total COVID deaths since the start of the pandemic (2,289).

There are now 221 people in hospital due to COVID-19, 49 of those in intensive care, according to the province. The testing positivity rate is at approximately 2.2%.

There are now 2,336 active cases of the virus in Alberta.

Premier Jason Kenney made the announcement Friday as 70.2 percent of Albertans aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Restrictions would lift two weeks after the 70 per cent mark, putting Alberta's official reopening date in early July.
