"He's not a great guy", he said. But that guy, he's amazingly talented, but he's fucked up and he needs to be put in check and he needs to get sober and he needs to come to terms with his demons. "Until one woman said his name out loud". He is a bad fucking guy.

Among them actress Rose MacGowan who also had a relationship before with Manson, said she was proud of Wood but stopped short of confirming Wood's claims on Manson's character.

The two have a shared history, with Reznor releasing Manson's first five albums on his label, Nothing Records, beginning in 1994 with Portrait of an American Family. "As I said at the time, the passage from Manson's memoir is a complete fabrication. Regardless of how - and why - others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth", Manson wrote in a statement on Instagram.

"My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners", he wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.
