Meghan Markle, Prince Harry expecting baby No. 2

Harry and Meghan expecting second child

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced they are expecting their second child.

Earlier tonight the couple shared their announcement by posting a candid black and white image of Prince Harry resting his hand on Meghan's head as she lay in his lap cradling her bump underneath a tree. Pictured with their newborn son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 8, 2019.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother".

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child".

The photo was taken remotely by Misan Harriman, a photographer and friend of the couple who congratulated them on Instagram for growing their family. The first seven places remain unchanged: the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Harry, and Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Since ending their royal duties, Harry and Meghan have continued charity work and signed TV and other media deals, launching their debut podcast in December.

Last week Meghan won a privacy claim against Associated Newspapers after its Mail on Sunday paper had printed extracts of a letter she wrote to her father in August 2018.

In November, she revealed she had lost her unborn, second child in July, describing the experience as "an nearly unbearable grief experienced by many but talked about by few".

"After changing his diaper, I felt a sharp cramp".

Meghan Markle might be eyeing a political career in her home state of California, The Irish Sun reported citing Democratic Party strategist Mike Trujillo. "I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second".

Markle said she was sharing her story to help break the silence around an all-too-common tragedy.
