Jose Mourinho Hopeful On Dele Alli Getting Back On Track After Talk

Tottenham's Harry Kane lies injured on the pitch during the English Premier League football match against Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London Thursday Jan. 28 2021. Liverpool won 3-1

That would be a significant boost as well, given Spurs have won just 34.8 per cent of their 23 games across all competitions without Kane since the start of last season, compared to 52.4 per cent with him on the pitch.

JOSE MOURINHO insists Dele Alli still has a future at Tottenham after the pair held talks, but made it clear he can not give Gareth Bale special treatment while he adjusts to the Premier League.

"I think it is not a very optimistic thing to say that next week he should be playing".

The former PSG manager also said that every other Chelsea player would be available to face Jose Mourinho's side.

"So, we're happy. We were scared when it happened, but next week we play Everton and City at the weekend".

That leaves the England global in a bind with the Euros looming and game-time hard to come by under Mourinho.

Kane has scored or assisted 23 of Tottenham's 34 Premier League goals this season.

He has rarely sparkled since the Portuguese took over in November 2019 after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked.

'I had a conversation with him, we spoke around this question and I think we found common ground.

The 25-year-old has also quickly emerged as one of the leaders of the dressing room and is often seen organising the team in the middle of matches. We need him. We need a good Dele Alli. "We need him. We need a good Dele Alli and we're just waiting for him to be back to normality and training with the team".

"We had a conversation. A conversation doesn't make a miracle or put him in great form but I believe the conversation was the extra motivation that he needs to get back as soon as possible".

According to WhoScored, Tanganga has played thrice in the Europa League, and twice each in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup for Spurs so far this season. When physically he is ready, I believe he will mentally be in a good place to go for it'.
