I am shocked by Armie Hammer's scandal

Elizabeth Chambers here with Armie Hammer at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2017 issues new statement amid actor's controversy

Armie Hammer's estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers is finally speaking out after allegations that he abused former partners and engaged in rape and cannibalism fantasies online merged. "I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated", she began in the caption. Heartbreak aside, I am listening and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I did not realize how much I did not know. Chambers then said that she supports "any victim of assault or abuse" and encouraged anyone that's been through such an ordeal to seek help to heal. The accusations have not been independently verified, but two other ex-girlfriends, Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze, have since spoken out in a similar vein.

Up until now, Chambers has remained relatively quiet about her husband's social media drama, but made a decision to post a photo of the beach, presumably from the Cayman Islands where she and her and Hammer's two kids have been living, along with a lengthy message. Ending her note, Elizabeth added, "Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward".

Armie Hammer will not star in Shotgun Wedding opposite Jennifer Lopez and several days later it was announced that the Call Me By Your Name star will not be taking part in the Godfather miniseries. Ever since the allegations surfaced, Armie Hammer has dropped out from two projects.

In January, multiple women came forward accusing Hammer of sexual and emotional abuse.

'I'm not responding to these bullsh*t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I can not in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic, ' Hammer said in the statement.'Lionsgate is supporting me in this, and I'm grateful to them for that'.

Hammer played the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network opposite Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg, and starred alongside Timothee Chalamet in acclaimed drama Call Me By Your Name.

Now, Elizabeth took to her Instagram and addressed the issue.

In joint Instagram statements, the two said, "it has been an incredible journey, but together, we've chose to turn the page and move on from our marriage". As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority'.
