TCL at CES 2021 Goes All In with Super-Sized TVs

Chromecast With Google TV

"Our theme at CES this year is "Experience More" and by combining cutting-edge displays with smart and convenient content powered by Google, I am confident we will allow people around the world to do just that in 2021".

One of TCL's new sound bars will be the Alto 82i with Dolby Atmos surround sound, dual built-in subwoofers, and support for AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant, set to launch in the third quarter of 2021. "Google TV is more helpful and delightful TV experience that helps users find the content they love".

TCL had also held an earlier global press event where it espoused its overarching AIXIoT "connection, display, interaction" strategy to "encourage adoption of intelligent lifestyles" with the TV as the hub at the center, said Tiago Abreu, head of TCL's X-Lab Industrial Design Center.

To satisfy that growing consumer demand, TCL is offering a total of three 85-inch TVs at varying price points with diverse feature sets: the XL Collection (featured story image, shown). The user experience should be identical to that of the Google Chromecast with Google TV.

After releasing its first TVs with Google's Android TV software last June, at this year's CES the Chinese electronics giant announced that it will be shipping TVs in 2021 that run on the search giant's new Google TV software. Users can even ask Google to find movies and shows, answer questions, and control smart home devices with their voice on TCL's big screens. None of these features would matter if Google had a bunch of missing gaps with supported services, so having nearly all major streaming apps integrated from day one means we get to use an actual completed product rather than a work-in-progress.
