Redmi K40 series will debut next month, Snapdragon 888 model confirmed

The Redmi K40 series will likely sport a display similar to that of the Redmi K30 Ultra

Since October past year, we've been hearing many rumors suggesting the arrival of the new Redmi K40 series after the Mi 11 series debut. While the Mi 11 is yet to make its way to global markets, Xiaomi's budget-friendly sub-brand Redmi is now gearing up to launch the Redmi K40 - a Snapdragon 888-powered affordable flagship.

Last month some of the alleged Redmi K40 live images were spotted on the web revealing a device with a centre-aligned punch-hole camera cutout design.

As aforementioned, the Redmi K40 Pro will keep the recurring tradition of the series packing Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset. Since expensive panels are usually associated with AMOLED displays, we can expect the phone, at least the Pro variant to come with this type of screen. The post also mentioned that the smartphones will flaunt a flat display which is probably going to be the 120HZ OLED Screen. After all, the Redmi K30 Pro got mixed reception due to the 60Hz panel. On top of that, the device may not include some of the premium display features found on the Xiaomi Mi 11. A 4,500mAh battery powered the phone. It's been a while since Xiaomi released a phone with a sub-4000 mAh battery, so that tells us nothing new. He also confirmed that the Redmi K40 series will be a cost-effective flagship, and that its price will start from CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,000). That is just around $463 which makes it a really good deal for those who want to experience the performance of the new chipset. Either way, we won't have to wait for much longer as the Redmi K40 Pro will be launched next month. Also, do share your thoughts about the upcoming Redmi K40 series in the comment section below.
