Kevin Feige says 'Black Panther 2' will focus on other characters

Marvel Boss Gives More 'Black Panther 2′ Details, Reveals If There Will Be a CG Chadwick Boseman

Fans are still reeling from the sudden and tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman last summer after his long, private battle with colon cancer.

Recently, Marvel President Kevin Feige shared new details for Black Panther 2.

During an interview with Deadline, in presenting the arrival of WandaVision on Disney +, Feige confirmed that the series will include other characters from the Wakanda area specifically placed to then set the stage for the sequel. The team is aiming to explore places, characters and subcultures within Wakanda for the upcoming film. It was always and at the beginning the main objective of the following story, "said Kevin".

He added that the team is not planning to add Chadwick via CG and they are still firm on not recasting the role of T'Challa. Ryan Coogler is working very hard right now on the script with all the respect, love and genius that he has, which gives us great consolation, which is why he always tried to promote the mythology and inspiration of Wakanda.

"There's also the task of honouring and respecting the ongoing learnings and teachings from Chad as well", he continued.

Check out the cool skill Chadwick actually learned for his latest movie.

Black Panther 2 is still scheduled to come to cinemas on July 8th, 2022, and Feige had previously confirmed that T'Challa would not be recast.

FandomWire is reporting that Doctor Doom will make his MCU debut in Black Panther 2, with the idea being that the ruler of Latveria is going to become a Thanos-level threat over time.

Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will be returning with key supporting cast members, with the work plan that will run in Atlanta for about six months.

"There's only one Chadwick, and he's not with us", Alonso told Argentine newspaper ClarÃn.

"Black Panther", which starred Boseman as the titular hero, grossed $700 million domestically and more than $1.3 billion worldwide.

"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you numerous films you have come to love so much".
