'Election' Star Jessica Campbell Dead at 38

The actress Jessica Campbell, who was best known for her roles in Election and Freaks and Geeks, has tragically passed away in Portland, Oregon.

Campbell died on December 29 in Portland, Oregon, though the cause of death is unknown.

Sarah says Jessica went to the bathroom but never came out, and when her aunt went to check on her ... she found her collapsed on the floor.

TMZ stated both the aunt and the called paramedics attempted to revive Campbell but were unable to do so. Working with Jessica on Election was such a pleasure.

The family said Jessica had been complaining of congestion and felt like she was getting a cold, however they do not believe it was Covid-19. And "due to a strong family history of cancer, she knew that she wanted to focus on integrative cancer care".

Jessica Campbell had become a naturopathic physician and had her own practice in Washington state. She first appeared alongsideSarah Jessica Parker in the 1992 TV movie In The Best Interest Of The Children.

In the film Election, Jessica played Tammy Metzler, the younger sister to the character played by Chris Klein.

The death was unexpected and his cousin Sarah Wessling spoke to TMZ on the tragic circumstances.

The family told the site that Jessica has been cremated and 'they are planning a memorial'.

Wessling remembered Campbell as "a true adventurer in every sense of the word".

Campbell leaves behind her 10-year-old son Oliver.

Freaks and Geeks creator Judd Apatow was among those donating, adding $5,000 to the cause.
