‘Jeopardy!’ rolls out partial host roster with Couric, Bialik

Katie Couric Aaron Rodgers among upcoming ‘Jeopardy!’ guest hosts

"Jeopardy!" is turning to guest hosts to fill the role held by Alex Trebek since its syndicated revival began in 1984.

Katie Couric will be the first woman to host "Jeopardy!" and is a veteran of NBC's "Today" and the "CBS Evening News".

Following the death of the show's iconic host, Alex Trebek, last year, the show announced they would have a rotation of guest hosts, instead of naming another permanent host right away.

JEOPARDY! will feature many guest hosts that include respected journalists, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and an actress who is also a neuroscientist, the show announced on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Trebek, the face of the show for 36 years, died from pancreatic cancer November 8, and the final shows he recorded aired last week.

After Jennings, Jeopardy! Executive Producer Mike Richards will guest host for two weeks while the other guest hosts prepare.

Ken Jennings, who joined the show as a consultant a year ago, was the first guest host.

The show will make a donation to the guest hosts' charity of choice that matches the total dollar amount won by contestants during their run.
