Not only is there a new Foo Fighters album arriving next month, but Foo Fighters-branded Vans shoes and a custom Japanese sake from the Dave Grohl-led rockers will be available around the same time. Is there more to this than just waiting on a war?

The nine-song Medicine at Midnight is due on February 5 and was co-produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters. Centered around an acoustic guitar, Grohl examines the deep-seated nature of violence in our society with the opening line, "I've been waiting on a war since I was young/Since I was a little boy with a toy gun". Because I need more.

The limited-edition kicks are a stylised version of Van's classic black Sk8-Hi with the Foo Fighters iconic logo printed in white on the side of each high-top shoe... and the band name stitched in red on each heel!

"This song was written for my daughter, Harper, who deserves a future, just as every child does".

"It's filled with anthemic, huge, sing-along rock songs", he said. "That's what we wanted to make, we wanted to make this really up, fun record".

This latest single titled, "Waiting On A War", joins previously-released tracks "Shame Shame" and "No Son Of Mine". Fellow musicians, fans and friends took to social media to help celebrate the special day.

The Vans x Foo Fighters Sk8Hi are coming soon! Which song off of Medicine At Midnight has been your favorite so far?
