The start of the 2021 Formula 1 season will be delayed following a decision to postpone the Australian Grand Prix over COVID-19 concerns.

The sport commendably went on to navigate a 17-round season in just 23 weeks, with Hamilton clinching a record-equalling seventh world championship.

Formula One's Australian Grand Prix was postponed to November and China's race was put on hold indefinitely as the coronavirus forced a 2021 calendar rejig on Tuesday.

In other 2021 race news, Spanish GP venue Barcelona has confirmed that it has inked a race deal with Liberty Media for 2021.

It is the second consecutive year the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been impacted by COVID-19, with last year's race cancelled at the last minute in March because of coronavirus.
