She elaborated on his passion and talent for the craft, "He was blessed to live many lives within his concentrated one".

Although Boseman did not win his nomination for Best Actor, he was posthumously honored with the Actor Tribute alongside his Ma Rainey's Black Bottom co-star Viola Davis, who received the Actress Tribute.

Taylor Simone Ledward shared a tribute last night (January 11) during the online ceremony, in which Andre Holland, who starred opposite Boseman in 42, also gave a speech.

Keep shining your light on us, said Simone, wife of late Hollywood star Chadwick Boseman, as she came out in public and opened up for the first time since his death.

"He developed his understanding of what it meant to be the none, the one, and the all".

Boseman died in August at the age of 43 after a four year struggle with colon cancer. "A container to pour in and take out", he had said.

Simone further said, "He harnessed the power of letting go, and letting God's love shine through".

There was also recognition for Michaela Coel's I May Destroy You, which won one of two awards given for breakthrough TV series. That's what he was doing when he was acting. "Not merely telling a story or reading lines off a page, but modeling for us a path of true fulfillment".

"May we not let his conviction be in vain", she said. May our mind be a fertile ground for the wisdom of God.
