Anne Hathaway Doesn't Want to Be Called 'Anne' Anymore

"When I was 14 years old, I did a commercial and had to get my SAG card and they asked me, 'Well, what do you want your name to be?'" Hathaway explained to Jimmy Fallon on air.

Anne Hathaway made a surprising revelation during her Tonight Show interview with Jimmy Fallon... "And so every time I step out in public and someone calls my name, I think they're gonna yell at me".

Her mother, however, is the only person in her life who calls her "Anne" and that only happens when the matriarch is upset with the superstar. When SAG asked what she should be called, it seemed obvious that she should go with her given name.

The actress, on Tuesday, said that she was into vintage fashion and chose to wear her mom's pair of metallic gold disco shoes to school.

But, there is one thing we've all been doing that she doesn't like. calling her Anne!

Hathaway also selected "99 Luftballons" as her best karaoke song and said that Leonardo DiCaprio and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam were her first celebrity crushes. "People are like, 'Anne!' And I'm like, 'What?"

"People are so lovely, they don't wanna be presumptuous and so they come up with workarounds on set", the "Les Misérables" actress continued. "It doesn't fit. I'm an Annie", she added.

The "Devils Wears Prada" actress doesn't really mind what people call her, as long as it's not Anne.
