Thurston County reports 41 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

County cases rise to 6253

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department announced that 165 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lancaster County on Saturday, bringing the community total to 20,906.

Statewide, the Illinois Department of Health reported there have been 900,370 positive cases in the state of Illinois and 15,202 deaths. Starke County's total number of COVID-19 deaths remains at 34 and Pulaski County's total number of COVID-19 deaths remains at 29.

In the US, more than 17.8 million cases have been reported as of Sunday with more than 317,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. The cases in the county included 1,599 confirmed cases, up 11 from Saturday, and 442 probable cases, up two from Saturday. There have been 1,71 recoveries with 35 now hospitalized.

The Arkansas Center for Health Improvement reported school-district level COVID data updated through December 14 this week, including the new known infection rate in each district's catchment area over the past two weeks.

The state has found at least one case of COVID-19 among residents and staff at 143 long-term care facilities in the past 28 days, according to the Governor's Office.

Cases increased from 1,193,165 to 1,201,566.

Over the last week, an average of 8% of Manatee County test results were new positive cases.

The state is also reporting 3,866 active cases and a total of 32,424 have recovered in Collin County.

As of Saturday night, 4,389 people were reportedly hospitalized with COVID-19 in IL. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the state since March is 464,354.
