Dressed in a pale blue double wool crepe dress by the royal dressmaker Stewart Parvin, the Queen gave a nod to the couple's honeymoon by wearing the Chrysanthemum Brooch.

The Queen and Prince Philip will celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary on Friday, and an adorable new photo of the couple has been released in honour of the milestone.

Although they rarely speak about their marriage publicly, Prince Philip talked about the importance of tolerance in a relationship while giving a toast at a lunch celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 1997.
