NCB recovers cannabis from comedian Bharti Singh, husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa's Mumbai residence

The search was conducted as part of the ongoing probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) into alleged drug use in the entertainment industry, he said. On Saturday, the NCB conducted a raid at the comedian's house and found a small quantity of cannabis.

Bharti Singh is a popular comedian in India and is now a part of The Kapil Sharma Show and also hosts a television reality show along with her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa. Since then, the anti-drugs agency has been probing the alleged Bollywood drug nexus case has raided the residences of many popular celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh. Wankhade also confirmed that drugs were recovered from their home.

ANI quoted Sameer Wankhede saying, "She and her husband both have been detained for questioning by NCB about possession of narcotics substances". She has hosted several shows and is seen now on Kapil Sharma's comedy show "The Kapil Sharma Show".

The central agency had earlier arrested Rajput's girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, some employees of the late film star and a few others under various sections of the NDPS Act.

Rhea Chakraborty and some others also face criminal conspiracy and "abetment to suicide" charges in connection with Sushant Rajput's death which is being investigated by the CBI.
