Beats Introduces New Powerbeats That Glow In The Dark

Well, they glow in the dark! This made Beats Flex the most affordable headphones to ever do so, coming in at half the price of the BeatsX which they effectively replaced - and actually a third of the price at which BeatsX first launched nearly four years ago.

Beats has announced a new version of the Powerbeats earbuds, made in collaboration with a fashion brand from Tokyo called Ambush.

The new glow-in-the-dark headphones will be sold at Apple Stores and in selected stores from 18 November.

The finish is designed by Ambush, a Tokyo firm co-founded and led by creative director Yoon Ahn.

Perhaps most importantly, Powerbeats pack Apple's H1 headphone chip that offers not only hands-free access to Siri, but easy setup, fast pairing and the ability to switch between iCloud-connected devices quickly.

However, if you want something that offers more style, and one that will surely get you noticed, particularly at night, then the glow-in-the-dark Powerbeats is for you. However, they now stand out with a green glow in the dark, and still manage a faintly mint-like glow during daytime hours.

That includes powerful audio, 15 hours of battery life, and an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. As you might expect, Ambush branding is stamped on in close proximity to the iconic Beats "b" logo.

Powerbeats are a very solid set of earbuds for the price, especially if you're looking for something to use during your workouts.

They also feature four sizes of ear tips and a lightning to USB-A cable. You can buy them for £169.95 from Apple's United Kingdom store.
