Drew Lock was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report but head coach Vic Fangio expects the quarterback to play against the New England Patriots after missing two games with a shoulder injury. Gordon will not travel with the team later Saturday and will not play in Sunday's scheduled game, per sources. Gilmore, who tested positive on October 7, was activated from the list Thursday. Now, Fant will officially miss the first game of his career.

"Early this morning, we learned that running backs coach Curtis Modkins tested positive for COVID-19". A suspension also could allow the Broncos to void a $4.5 million full guarantee on Gordon's 2021 base salary, though it's not clear whether they would do so.

Gilmore was activated from the list Thursday, following his October 7 positive test. Practice squad player Bill Murray also returned from the COVID list Thursday.

The Colts had four positive tests that came up negative upon retesting. The Patriots shut down their facility on Friday following news that center James Ferentz had tested positive for COVID-19.

The Broncos plan to bench top running back Melvin Gordon for the game at New England with what was described as a non-Covid-19 illness.

Falcons rookie defensive tackle Marlon Davidson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday and a second person, who is not a player, subsequently tested positive. Of those three, only the Steelers won in their return to action.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had his second negative COVID-19 test in 24 hours, clearing him to rejoin his teammates and play in Sunday's game at Pittsburgh.

The reopening of the Patriots' facility and their test results were confirmed by a person familiar with the situation. Mason (calf) was limited in practice Friday.

The Ravens placed defensive tackle Brandon Williams - a key figure in Baltimore's run defense - on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

9News first reported that Gordon would not play Sunday. The team said defensive end John Cominsky was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and defensive line coaches Tosh Lupoi and Jess Simpson did not make the trip.

The reserves are together and apart from active players during meetings and workouts.
