Chadwick Bosemans wife applies for rights to his multi-million-dollar estate

Chadwick Boseman Died without a Will but Protected His Wife

Late actor Chadwick Boseman had not left behind a will.

According to reports from Page Six, Boseman's estate has an estimated value of $938,500. A report stated that Ledward filed the paperwork on Thursday in Los Angeles.

Ledward, who quietly married Boseman amid his secret, four-year cancer battle, requested to be made an administrator of his estate.

Beyond Ledward, Boseman's only family members listed in the court papers are his parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman.

Boseman died after a battle with colon cancer on August 28.

"It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman", a statement read on his verified social media accounts. They started dating before Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer and reportedly even got engaged previous year.

"He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side", the statement had said. "A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you numerous films you have come to love so much". The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this hard time.

Before joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as T'Challa, Boseman earned rave reviews for his portrayals of Jackie Robinson in 42 (2013) and James Brown in Get On Up (2014).

They made their red carpet debut at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards in January that year, with the actor paying tribute to his other half as he accepted the Best Film Ensemble prize for Black Panther, saying: "Simone, you're with me every day. I love you", he said.

He was later laid to rest in SC where his parents reside.
