Florida's Department of Health on Sunday confirmed 2,539 new COVID-19 cases and 50 deaths.

Newly revised data shows that, as of Thursday, there were 1,168 patients in Tennessee hospitals with confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

35 cases have been reported at Manatee County correctional facilities.

The previous high of 1,161 was set back on July 29th, followed by a steady decline that lasted nearly two months.

The district-wise positive cases and deaths are as follows: East Godavari (567 and 2), West Godavari (531 and 1), Chittoor (473 and 5), Prakasam (348 and 1), Krishna (308 and 4), Guntur (259 and 4), Kadapa (246 and 0), Nellore (240 and 1), Visakhapatnam (204 and 3), Anantapur (193 and 2), Srikakulam (125 and 1), Kurnool (91 and 0) and Vizianagaram (91 and 0). That update lists 1,166 current hospitalizations.

Florida's current hospitalization data does not always match the hospitalization data reported in Miami-Dade's New Normal Dashboard.

Sunday, Miami-Dade reported 324 people current hospitalized from COVID-19, a decrease of two from Saturday, and 93 COVID-19 patients in Intensive Care Unit beds, an increase of four. The state reports its positive test rate for the pandemic is 13.18%.

Tennessee Department of Health data also reveals that there are 231 intensive care unit beds now available statewide, a slight improvement from the last few days. About 9% of those people tested positive. In cases per 100,000 people, Florida ranks sixth.
