Jonathan Majors joins Marvel's Ant-Man 3, reportedly as Kang the Conqueror

Kang the Conqueror Marvel Comics

That likely explains why Kang the Conqueror is coming for him in Peyton Reed's threequel, and a report shared by ComicBook.com indicates that both Ant-Man and The Wasp will be getting overhauled suits in Ant-Man 3. According to Deadline's source, that villain may be none other than Kang the Conqueror.

Thanos is history. So who will be the next Big Bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? After Thanos, Kang is one of the very biggest Avengers villains - and the time-travel shenanigans featured in Avengers: Endgame would be the ideal impetus to introduce the character in MCU Phase Four.

In fact, Marvel has already started casting for Ant-Man 3, and recently, it was revealed that Jonathan Majors would be cast to play the legendary villain Kang The Conquerer.

Kang has gone by many different identities in comics - even appearing as a hero named "Iron Lad", at times.

What's particularly interesting about Kang joining Ant-Man 3 is that he made his first appearance in the Fantastic Four comics, and the FF also happened to be rumored for Ant-Man 3. Since Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) was the key to time travel in Avengers: Endgame, it only makes sense that his next antagonist is a temporally displaced baddie whose greatest ambition is (you guessed it!) to become ruler of the universe. Introducing Thanos 2.0 would be a big-ticket item for that series.
