Chris Hemsworth has rubbishes the suggestion that Thor: Love And Thunder will be his final outing as the Nordic god.

'It's one of the best scripts I've read in years, ' he told the publication.

The actor, 37, said he wasn't thinking of retirement from the comic book character in an interview with Poland's Elle Man magazine while promoting a new Hugo Boss fragrance. "I'm not going into any retirement period", the actor said.

The Australian - who has played the character of Thor since 2011 across eight films - is clearly still as enthusiastic as ever about being involved.

He added, "Thor is way too young for that". It is only 1500 years old!

The ending of Avengers: Endgame shook up the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ways that we still have yet to fully comprehend.

The movie was announced at SDCC a year ago, with Natalie Portman brought out on stage and handed Mjolnir by director Taika Waititi, confirming that Lady Thor would also feature in the movie. Natalie Portman also returns as Jane Foster in the film.

The Hollywood star said: "Of course, I can't reveal anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I will say that reading the script I had a lot more fun than on "Thor Ragnarok", and that shows something, because this movie was brilliant".

Hemsworth previously told Variety on "The Big Ticket" podcast that he wasn't sure when he'd hang up his hammer and cape and exit the Marvel universe. "Whether it's now or in the future, I don't know".

The film was initially scheduled to start shooting in August in Australia, but the production got delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak, forcing the makers to push the release date from November 2021 to February 2022.
