Naya Rivera's Final TV Appearance Will Be on Netflix's 'Sugar Rush'

Almost a week after her disappearance, police confirmed her body had been recovered from the lake.

The death certificate also noted that her death was not contributed to any other significant factors.

The star was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in LA on July 24.

"Back in February, a few weeks before all production ground to a halt, the "Glee" alumna filmed a guest-judge appearance on "Sugar Rush" in Los Angeles, sitting alongside the show's host Hunter March and professional chef judges Candace Nelson and Adriano Zumbo".

Rivera had rented a pontoon boat for a three-hour excursion with her only child. An adult life jacket, believed to be the one provided to Rivera by the rental company, was found aboard the boat. "After Josey was found, he told investigators that he and his mother had been swimming in the lake, and he got back in the boat, but she did not".

Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said: "We know from speaking with her son, that he and Naya swam in the lake together at some point during their journey".

The Ventura County Medical Examiner announced July 14 that an autopsy had been conducted and Rivera's cause of death as drowning.

The creators of Fox's "Glee" said in a statement that they were "heartbroken" over the death of the actress, who played Santana Lopez on the program for six seasons.
