Crash Bandicoot Comes to Mobiles With Endless Runner on iOS and Android

Crash Bandicoot is getting another game this year...a mobile game

It would appear that two Crash Bandicoot fans (Jump Button and Motwera) have uncovered an upcoming mobile Crash Bandicoot game through a Facebook search. Activision thought so, so they tapped Candy Crush makers King to put one together. A wider release has been announced, and it has a new name to celebrate: Crash Bandicoot: On the Run.

Levels are seemingly non-linear, giving you alternate routes to explore and secrets to hunt down, and everything you earn during missions can be funnelled back into the base-building portion of the game. The game will be an endless runner, akin to Temple Run and Subway Surfers.

Like in other Crash games, players can control Crash but may also choose to play as other protagonists from the series as they attempt to defeat the villainous Dr. Neo Cortex and his henchmen.

King, developer of popular game Candy Crush, is bringing Crash Bandicoot to Android and iOS.

A release window has not yet been set for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. You can, however, pre-register on Google Play Store or enter your email address through the company's website to get notified whenever the game goes live. The official announcement trailer also revealed that the app's multiplayer feature would allow players to team up with friends and other gamers as well. Of course, King has yet to confirm the game even exists, and my guesswork could be way off the mark, so at this point, I'd say it's best to take all of this with a grain of salt until official details come to light.
