Missing Ohio teen's car, phone found after leaving for tanning salon

Bell was last seen in the Greenfield area on May 17 when she told her mother she was going to a tanning salon, according to the Highland County Sheriff's Office. He said tips leading to the whereabouts of Bell may be eligible for a reward.

"I was cleaning when she changed clothes and left, and yelled, 'Mom, I'm going to tan and I'll be right back, '" Montavon wrote on Facebook. After she was gone for about an hour, her mother tried to reach out to her and was unable to contact her.

Concerned that Madison may have gotten into a auto accident, her mother and longtime boyfriend drove together to the Good Shepherd Church parking lot near the Corner Market tanning salon, where they found her vehicle.

Bell's vehicle was found at the Good Shepherd Church, located near the corner of SR 28 and Centerfield Road, a few hundred feet from Country Corner Market. Her auto was later found in a church parking lot near the tanning salon, keys and cell phone still inside. Bell's phone, as well as the coins and paper money in the change compartment, were still in her auto.

A man with a scruffy beard is being sought for questioning in the disappearance of an 18-year-old OH woman. Meanwhile, more organizations have joined the search.

In a statement to WLWT, Bell's family requested privacy.

No more information regarding the leads was given and authorities said they would provide an update as soon as possible. According to WLWT, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has also joined the search. You don't take her and not bring her home.

An advocate from the Mid-Ohio Valley is using time away from work amid the pandemic, to help search for a missing Ohio teen. Searchers must be over the age of 18 and must present a valid ID.

But when she hadn't returned that day from the outing, her mother filed a missing persons report, prompting authorities to ping her cellphone, according to the report. Police said she has a cross tattoo on her neck and a ghost tattoo on her side. "She left and I haven't heard from her since". Bell also has tape-in hair extensions and a left nostril piercing.

Madison's mother said the disappearance is out of character for the senior in high school who was looking forward to her upcoming graduation.
