Pokemon Go to Introduce "Raid from Home" Feature

With much of the world effectively on lockdown thanks to the COVID-19 coronavirus, it's naturally become a lot more hard to play Pokémon GO. Following the Raid from home announcement, Pokemon GO temporarily made some changes with the gym interaction. This will allow players to form up into groups online and travel to gyms as per usual, but from the comfort and safety of their own sofas.

With the on-going quarantine and lockdown in most cities and countries around the world, Pokemon GO players now have more reason to stay at home and continue playing the game without violating any rules and risking their health.

For example, Niantic's Adventure Sync function will now track your indoor steps as you do things like run on a treadmill, clean your house or make other indoor movements and activities.

"We have always believed that our games can include elements of indoor play that complement the outdoor, exercise and explore DNA of what we build", said Niantic.

Apart from five-star raids, Landorus can also be acquired through the Go Battle League as a reward for a limited time only. Niantic says it is improving the virtual in-game social features of Pokemon Go to make sure that players stay in touch with friends without having to actually meet them.

Exploration will be improved so players can "virtually visit and share memories about their favorite real-world places". This also means that friends can soon take on raids together even while at home. This feature is live for players to enjoy. Expect to hear more about events like Pokémon GO Fest soon. Due to the coronavirus, there will likely be no live events this summer.

Additionally, incense sticks for increasing monster spawns have been discounted by 99 percent and they now last an hour.
