China Reveals It Has 1500 Asymptomatic Coronavirus Cases on Record

REPORT US Intelligence Confirms China Falsified Coronavirus Death Case Data

Three sources confirmed the existence of this secret, classified report to Bloomberg but declined to comment on the details. Both Italy and Spain have reported more deaths than China and the United States is now projecting as many as 240,000 deaths.

'I mean the reality is that China's been more transparent with regard to the coronavirus than certainly they were for other infectious diseases over the last 15 years, ' Pence, who is heading the White House coronavirus task force, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

Republican lawmakers in the USA have been particularly harsh about China's role in the outbreak.

Also on Tuesday, Florida Senator Rick Scott, a key Trump ally, called on lawmakers to investigate whether the World Health Organization willfully helped China "cover up information regarding the threat of the Coronavirus", and accused the agency of "parroting propaganda from the Chinese Communist Party".

"They lied to the world about the human-to-human transmission of the virus, silenced doctors and journalists who tried to report the truth, and are now apparently hiding the accurate number of people impacted by this disease", McCaul said.

Republicans in Congress, pointing to a report by Bloomberg citing U.S. intelligence, expressed outrage that Beijing apparently misled the worldwide community on China's infections and deaths that began in late 2019 in the city of Wuhan.

The outbreak began in China's Hubei province in late 2019, but the country has publicly reported only about 82,000 cases and 3,300 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Within China, residents have questioned official figures as droves of bereaved family members line up to collect loved ones' remains at funeral homes, and as photos emerge of stacks of urns used to hold cremated bodies pictured in Wuhan.

So far, according to a Johns Hopkins University of Medicine world tracker of the virus' impact, there are more than 190,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the USA and more than 4,000 people have died.

'The medical community made - interpreted the Chinese data as: This was serious, but smaller than anyone expected, ' she said at the daily coronavirus press briefing Tuesday evening. 'Because I think probably we were missing a significant amount of the data, now that what we see happened to Italy and see what happened to Spain'. Iranian officials have similarly suggested that the pandemic may have constituted a "biological attack", but have not yet backed up the claims with concrete evidence.

Chinese media have rejected these reports, accusing the U.S. and other Western countries of trying to smear and scapegoat China amid their own comparatively lackluster responses to the pandemic. "Do your best to share that information", he said.
