Director Matt Reeves tweeted a dimly lit clip Thursday night that shows Robert Pattinson wearing the suit, cape and cowl, bathed in a red glow.

We finally have our first look at Robert Pattinson's Batman suit and it looks futuristic. The test was filmed by The Batman cinematographer Greig Fraser and features music from the film's composer, Michael Giacchino.

The casting of Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon also confirms that this version of Batman is separate from the recent Ben Affleck Dark Knight from Zack Snyder for obvious reasons, as J.K. Simmons was Snyder's choice to play Gordon in Justice League.

Robert Pattinson, best-known for his breakout roles in Harry Potter and the Twilight films, has since picked darker and more dramatic films. He didn't accept any prods.

"I remember saying to Matt, "It does feel quite transformative!'" the actor said". I kept asking to meet him'.

He told Variety: 'You do feel very powerful immediately'.

"The ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating", Pattison said.

The Batman has a June 25, 2021 release directed by Matt Reeves starring Robert Pattinson (upcoming "Tenet", "The Lighthouse", "Good Time") as Gotham City's vigilante detective, Batman, and billionaire Bruce Wayne.

Pattinson is set to inherit the Batsuit and all that goes along with Bruce Wayne's iconic backstory beside a cast that also includes Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jayme Lawson, John Turturro, and Peter Sarsgaard.

'You've got five people trying to shove you into something.

Kravitz told Variety's Will Thorne this week that working with Pattinson on The Batman has already been "intense".
