Looks like The Witcher 3 on Switch is getting PC cross-save

Witcher 3 Update Allows You To Transfer PC Saves To Switch

Back in January 2020, Saber Interactive was getting people excited about the next patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition.

Mod-related bugs and blockers might get transferred from a modded PC game save file.

Added more text languages (in selected regions). "More graphical settings can also be found in the options following the update, making it possible to customise visual fidelity".

Fixed various visual and functional bugs.

The Witcher 3 on the Switch is the Complete Edition, which includes both story expansions and "every piece of downloadable content released for the game". That same feature appears to be coming to The Witcher 3 on the Nintendo Switch too, with support for Steam and GOG save files.

As for the graphics options, the Reddit leak suggests these will allow players to toggle on or off features such as motion blur, bloom, depth of field, and light shafts. Digital Foundry called The Witcher 3's Switch port "a stunning handheld achievement" when it first released, so this patch could push it to all-new heights.

The full patch notes have also been shared and early feedback from fans has been very positive. I've reached out to CD Projekt to clarify whether this means you can actually go back and forth from Steam to Switch-say, if you want to play on your Switch while you ride the bus to work and then continue on your PC at home-and will update if I receive a reply. A couple of games such as Dauntless and Divinity: Original Sin 2 already have cross-save features on Switch, but The Witcher 3 would certainly be a major addition to this group.
