In SC, a Frantic Search for Missing 6-Year-Old

Public Safety

Investigators said as of Wednesday that there's been no evidence of an abduction.

At a Wednesday press conference, Antley said the department was widening the search area beyond the Churchill Heights community where she disappeared, Fox Carolina reported. Investigators said they have not ruled out any possibilities that she may have walked off or fell somewhere and is in distress. She was last seen wearing polka dot boots and a black t-shirt with the word "Peace" written on it.

Officials said they have found some useful surveillance footage and that Faye's mother, father and her mother's boyfriend have all been cooperative during the investigation. She now has shoulder-length hair, according to Chief Byron Snellgrove of the Cayce Department of Public Safety.

Swetlik's family released a statement on Tuesday calling her a "bubbly and happy little girl".

The search for missing Faye Swetlik, 6, has entered day three and officials have shared a new video to try to help find her.

"We're afraid of course, very distraught, but we're only thinking positive thoughts", family friend Monica Foutz said.

The video also contains new pictures of Faye and the hotline for tips: 803-205-4444.

The Cayce Department of Public Safety posted imaged of the cars, saying: "The two vehicles shown were in the neighborhood during the time #FayeSwetlik was last seen". "Talking with everyone who was in Churchill Heights at the time Faye was last seen is an important part of our work to bring her home". She was also wearing a flower print skirt and polka dot rain boots, according to the Cayce Department of Public Safety. Faye pays attention to her surroundings. "We want to get Faye back home", Sergeant Evan Antley said.

She has a speech impediment and is lactose intolerant, according to Antley.

Faye Marie Swetlik, who has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes, has been missing in Cayce, South Carolina, for 10 days. Everyone loves Faye, ' Snellgrove said.
