Billie Eilish Unveils Bond Theme ‘No Time To Die’

US singer-songwriter Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell cradle their trophies after scoring big at the 62nd annual Grammys

"You were never on my side / Fool me once, fool me twice", Eilish sings over a haunting piano melody. "Was I reckless to help?" "No", the very first Bond flick in 1962. It still sounds like her, but her voice is at full, robust strength, sultrily swooping and soaring to places it rarely has before - all while majestically backed by the orchestral arrangements of legendary film composer Hans Zimmer, renowned orchestrator/arranger/conductor Matt Dunkley, and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.

No Time To Die will be released in the United Kingdom on 2 April 2020 and 8 April 2020 in the US.

No Time To Die opens with a haunting piano motif, with the star's voice tired as she sings, "I should have known I'd live alone".

The song was written with her brother Finneas O'Connell.

Said director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Sam Smith read the screenplay to the James Bond film "Spectre" and then penned the title song in 20 minutes - a record even for him. I am a huge fan of Billie and FINNEAS. "Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I can not wait for audiences to hear what they've brought - a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come", added director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

This marks another milestone in Billie Eilish's career as she's now the youngest artist in history to write and record a theme song for James Bond. "I'm still in shock".

The new James Bond film is the 25th installment of the franchise and it is due to arrive in theaters in April this year.

Paul McCartney and his wife Linda wrote the title theme for the 1973 Bond movie "Live and Let Die".

She swept the four big categories at the Grammy Awards last month and performed a cover of the Beatles' Yesterday during the In Memoriam section of Sunday's Oscars. She also, according to Variety, "represents a dramatic change of direction for the legendary franchise's long history of theme-song performers".

Billie's 2020 Where Do We Go World Arena Tour sold out within an hour of on-sale and starts March 9, 2020.

In the meantime, you can buy, download and stream the track through all of the normal services: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Google Play, etc.

Daniel Craig as James Bond.

There are also new looks at MI6 stalwarts including Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Rory Kinnear as Tanner, as well as Jeffrey Wright's returning Central Intelligence Agency spy Felix Leiter. They're tasked with the rescue of a kidnapped scientist, but the mission turns out to be far more risky than expected as a mysterious villain armed with unsafe new technology is thrown into the mix, played by Rami Malek.
