Iceborne PC updates will catch up with consoles in April

Update: Capcom Releases The Post-Launch Content Roadmap For Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Capcom has confirmed that console and PC Monster Hunter World players will get "major" Iceborn content updates in sync. Less than a week after releasing the expansion on PC, Capcom is getting right back to work on what's next for their creature-hunting spectacular.

While we are on the theme of the PC version, the second update of the PC title will be released starting March 12, bringing Stygian Zinogre, "a more vicious subspecies of the fans' favorite Zinogre electrifying, which takes advantage of the elemental damage from the Dragon".

Those playing Monster Hunter World Iceborne, there's a lot more stuff coming your way soon! A new Tundra Region will also expand Guiding Lands, featuring monsters such as Barioth and Viper Tobi-Kadachi. In February, PC players will also get a Holiday Joy Fest, too.

In April, PC players will see Title Update 3, and from that point on they'll be current with the console versions of the game.

Picking up from the end of the storyline in Monster Hunter: World, Iceborne will have players join forces with the Research Commission once again to explore the undiscovered new land of Hoarfrost Reach. From February to the end of March, players will receive new limited-time event missions that "increase the chances of finding gold-crowned monsters, decorations and great spirit gems while maximizing their rank".

The first title update comes with the ability to visit other players' space and also enter into limited-time quests that provide materials to create the Palico armor and Hunter Weapon plus weapon from the Iceborne Design contest winners.

Before all that, however, the publisher/developer has big birthday plans for Monster Hunter World, and from January 23 until February 13, 2020, Iceborne players will be able to gather for the Grand Appreciation Fest, whilst vanilla players can pop to the Astera Gathering Hub for the returning Appreciation Fest.

Notably, most of the upcoming updates will be different for both PC and consoles until April through June when the title updates will sync up.
