But after the launch, the Pixel 4 series could not garner the response from the users, as it was hyped.

We might have gotten another hint of the Google Pixel 4a, an affordable version of the Pixel 4 devices, and it seems there could be three of these new Pixel A handsets - including one that could have 5G. This is being predicted to be the Google Pixel 4a. While most people know Qualcomm processors by their shorter, smarter names, Google and Android developers usually refer to their model number.

Those who have followed Google closely are aware that the company adopts names of fishes to identify the various Google Pixel models from the very beginning. Lastly, the Bramble device is also speculated to feature the SD 765. Redfin makes mention of the sm7250, which is the Snapdragon 765 chipset and the first with an integrated 5G modem, leading to speculation of a Pixel 4a 5G.

The sunfish codename, spotted in the AOSP repository, is based on sm7150 platform, which is the codename for mid-range Snapdragon 730 SoC.

Although every generation of Google Pixel phones usually has the same internal specifications between the standard and XL variants, they each get their own code name.

The Sunfish code-name in the AOSP states that it is based on the Snapdragon 730 SoC - an upper-mid-range chipset. Google eventually fixed that stuff, but it still has me curious how the Pixel 4 is doing.

Which of these four code names and processors is the real Pixel 4a with introductions out of the way?

That leaves Redfin, Bramble and Sunfish behind. The rumored Google Pixel 4A has been widely speculated and the latest leak shows a CAD-based render of the smartphone. So, at least two of the three new names we have are likely new Pixel 4A devices. We also think that Google would pack an extra ultra-wide lense in Google Pixel 5 and 5 XL to win hands down in any department of smartphone photography.

So what are the 5G-enabled Redfin and Bramble?

Google, like most manufacturers, is gearing up for the next variant of its smartphone lineup.
