Drake was Spotify's most-streamed artist of the decade

Drake is the king of streaming: the rapper has been named Spotify's most-streamed artist of the decade. The summary confirmed Drake's global title, with 28 billion streams racked up over the last ten years.

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, seen performing at the recent American Music Awards in Los Angeles, had the year's most-streamed track: the duet Senorita.

She beat the likes of Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Sia and Beyoncé, thanks to the impressive performance of her immensely popular albums "Sweetener" and "Thank U, Next".

Sheeran's hit "Shape of You" was the most-streamed track of the decade.

Eminem completed the top-five decade list.

Other popular tracks this decade were Post Malone's "Rockstar", featuring 21 Savage, followed by "Closer" by The Chainsmokers, featuring Halsey, and Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud".

For 2019, it was rapper Post Malone who took the top spot with over 6.5 billion streams, followed by Billie Eilish, who also secured in excess of six billion. That includes years like 2016, when he earned the most streamed album (VIEWS) and most streamed song ("One Dance") and 2018, when he smashed records with the release of "God's Plan."

Spotify released its streaming numbers for the decade Tuesday in its inaugural edition of "Wrapped", a new year-end look at the music service's most-streamed artists and albums. The results are based on more than 248 million users' listening habits around the world.
