Joe Burrow absolutely shredding Alabama

Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa

Joe Burrow and No. 2 LSU withstood a second-half rally from No. 3 Alabama in arguably the biggest college football clash of the season so far, with College Football Playoff implications and SEC bragging rights on the line. He finished Saturday's game 31-of-39 passing for 393 yards and three touchdowns while adding 64 rushing yards.

But the Tigers just kept torturing Alabama. LSU had been win-less in eight straight games against the mighty Crimson Tide.

"We went on the road and (played) a really good Texas team, played Florida, Auburn", said LSU QB Joe Burrow, who along with Tagovailoa make up the Hesiman frontrunners.

The Tigers' 33 points are the most scored in one half against Alabama under Nick Saban, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

He's just showing everything in this game you want to see from a number one overall pick from making accurate throws to avoiding pressure, to picking up first downs with his legs and making great decisions with the football. Burrow picked apart Alabama's defense time after time, especially in the second half after Alabama had cut into LSU's lead. Alabama needed a touchdown on its next touch, and at first the drive seemed in peril before it began when facing a 3rd-and-19, but Tagovailoa found Henry Ruggs III for 26 yards to keep the drive alive.

Burrow entered Saturday's game as the Heisman favorite.

Trump was said to have quickly stood from his seat and walked to the front railing with Melania so that he could wave to spectators, while his image was shown on the stadium's four video screens, leading to what was described as a "prolonged" applause.

Tagovailoa doesn't have much to risk today but should he play really bad and has issues with his ankle, maybe it's enough to sway a team at the top to not take him and opt for Chase Young of Ohio State instead. 1 and 2 in the quarterback discussion for the 2020 draft. What if Tagovailoa doesn't fumble running toward the end zone on the opening drive?
