Thursday's Browns-Steelers game ended with an ugly brawl that saw Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett remove Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph's helmet and swing it at his unprotected head. Mayfield found Odell Beckham for 42 yards to the 1, then snuck the final yard for a 7-0 advantage before the game was four minutes old.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster sustained a concussion in Thursday's game against the Browns from a helmet-to-helmet hit.

The NFL has been preaching player safety for quite some time and, if they want to be taken seriously, they have to take strong, decisive action in suspending Garrett. "It's out of character".

In the aftermath of a end-of-game sack of Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph, Garrett snatched off Rudolph's helmet and swung it at the quarterback's unprotected head. Haynesworth's punishment is the longest for on-field behaviour in league history.

Once on the ground, Rudolph grabbed at Garrett's facemask and helmet, and the two continued to scrap as other players attempted to separate them.

The Steelers were livid about Garrett's conduct.

"I've never seen that in my life", Cleveland coach Freddie Kitchens said.

"One of the worst things I've ever seen on a professional sports field", Buck said on Thursday's broadcast during a brief break while National Football League officials in NY determined what immediate action needed to be taken against which players. That dumb stuff shouldn't be allowed.

"For someone to use a helmet as a weapon is uncalled for". Larry Ogunjobi and Maurkice Pouncey were also ejected for their roles in what happened; Pouncey repeatedly punched Garrett after Garrett.

Any stance defending Garrett right now feels like the wrong stance, but it's far from surprising that Beckham is the guy to be saying what he said.

"I didn't see why it started, but it's inexcusable".

"Rivalry or not, we can't do that". "This is a physical, violent game and there's moments if you don't keep your cool, bad things can happen and he knows that". The Browns host the Miami Dolphins on November 24. "I am embarrassed. Myles is embarrassed". It is not good. "He understands what he did is totally unacceptable", Kitchens said. The Steelers are down to three receivers in uniform.

"We don't condone that", he said in his post-game press conference.

He also said he would address his teammates and apologize for the outburst.

Beckham, famous for an on-field fight with Josh Norman and going after a kicking net (along with a few other on-field oddities), made a decision to be a supportive teammate in the aftermath of the game and incident. Never beat Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the same year since 1999, and then we have to talk about this. We don't know how long and that hurts our team and we can't do that. We do not condone that. "Myles understands what he did wrong".
