A.J. Green Experiences Setback On Ankle, Out Indefinitely

"For me, just gotta make sure I feel comfortable going out there and pushing it", Green said, per ESPN. It's all about making sure I'm taking care of myself first. Minutes after Taylor said he expected Green to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens, he was not spotted at practice. The receiver said negotiations between himself and Cincinnati's front office slowed down while he was recovering from injury.

Green suffered his injury almost 15 weeks ago, and after his latest setback, he's not sure when he'll be able to return to the field.

The Bengals wide receiver did not practice on Wednesday after he said he did not feel good following a morning walk-through, coach Zac Taylor said. However, the former first-round pick suffered a setback during the team's walkthrough on Wednesday. "I've just got to be completely healthy to where I can go out there and play at a high level".

The Bengals were hopeful that Green would be ready after the bye week.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Baltimore is preparing to face Green this week.

"I just take it day-by-day", Green said. [Last] Wednesday was a good day, Monday was a good day, now he's getting back in the fold.

Green has missed 15 of the Bengals' last 16 games after suffering a toe injury last season that forced him to the injured reserve. "I'm not really anxious about that situation".
