'Bachelor' Star Peter Weber Rushed to Hospital for Serious Injury to Face

It sounds like this might truly be the "most dramatic season" of "The Bachelor" yet, as a new report claims Peter Weber was rushed to the hospital after suffering a "serious" injury while in Costa Rica.

As a result of the nasty injury, Weber, 27, reportedly traveled two hours to a hospital for an operation in which he received 22 stitches in his face.

"He got a cut on his head", Harrison told Entertainment Tonight of what he called a "freak accident".

"He is pulling through", a second source told Radar.

"He went to step on the cart but fell and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying", a source told Radar Online.

Peter's season is expected to premiere in January 2020.

The Bachelor season just filmed its fourth Rose Ceremony in Cleveland on Saturday and was scheduled to film its next round of dates in Costa Rica this week.

This season's bachelor is Peter Weber - AKA "Pilot Pete", because he's a commercial airline pilot, enjoys flying puns (they're just plane fun) and showed up to a previous season dressed in his uniform.

Weber, who came third on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette US, was remembered as the contestant on Hannah Brown's season who slept with her in a windmill four times.

After the announcement, and before filming started, Peter told Ellen DeGeneres during the September 18 episode of her talk show, "I'm just ready to immerse myself in this journey and hopefully come out with fiancée at the end ..." I feel emotional right now, man.

"This is life-changing", Weber told host Chris Harrison of being chosen as "The Bachelor" on the "Bachelor in Paradise" finale. This is insane. This is life-changing.
