Raiders Derek Carr on Antonio Brown's exit, Denver Broncos win

Let's break down the winners and losers from Monday's nights Broncos-Raiders matchup.

They took the opening kickoff and marched 75 yards in 10 plays.

Denver Broncos offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson (68), offensive guard Ronald Leary (65) and others sit on the bench during the second half of an NFL football game against the Oakland Raiders Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, in Oakland, Calif.

The drive resulted in an eight-yard touchdown from Carr to Tyrell Williams to give Oakland an early lead.

The revelation? Rookie running back Josh Jacobs, who rumbled for 85 yards on the ground on 23 carries and, with two touchdowns, became the first player in Raiders franchise history to find the end zone twice in his National Football League debut. Catching six of seven targets for 105 yards with a score, Williams' play spoke volumes.

There were some winners in this game but as you may have already guessed, more losers.

After recording an NFL-low 13 sacks last year following the trade of Khalil Mack, the Raiders got off to a much better start this year with the pass rush, sacking Flacco three times. Derek Carr connected with his athletic tight end on two passes that went for 36 yards on the Raiders' first possession.

Here are the three players that showed up for the Broncos Monday in Oakland, and three that were especially awful. Another Broncos drive ended at the Raiders' 21, as Brandon McManus' third field goal of the night was for 39 yards.

Broncos: RT Ja'Wuan James left the game in the first half with a knee injury.

The play happened as Conely attempted to take down Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman.

Conley was down on the ground for several minutes with players on both teams kneeling on the ground out of concern. "He's not drawing from a lot of experience", Gruden said. Oakland won the game 24-16.

"If anything", Fangio said, "they may have an advantage because they worked with me for four years and there's still two defensive coaches there" that were on his staff.
