Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer announce Irish super-show

Green Day

The punk legends will be touring next June on The Hella Mega Tour with their 13th studio album titled Father of All... will be released on February 7, 2020.

While Green Day won't officially be touring the United States with Fall Out Boy and Weezer until July of next year, all three bands are putting on an intimate concert together at the Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

The Hella Mega tour will include eight European dates, the last of which will be held at the Ballsbridge venue. It's less pop-punk and more arena rock, as Tre Cool drops syncopated beats and Billie Joe Armstrong sings in a stadium-ready falsetto. Hopefully if somebody who gets to go to the tour, I think this tour represents counter-programming, I think that the world is moving in one direction in an obvious way, or whatever.

Fall Out Boy shared the new track "Dear Future Self (Hands Up)' featuring Wyclef Jean".

All three bands also released new songs today.

Multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Weezer's new single "The End of the Game", produced by Suzy Shinn, will be included on their forthcoming 14th studio album, entitled Van Weezer, due out in May 2020.
