Google Play Pass is a thing and it's coming soon

The screenshots show that that the "Play Pass" will give you access to a curated catalog of premium apps including music apps, fitness trackers and games for $5 a month no ads and in-app purchases to be unlocked. That was in closed testing. Today, the Google Play Twitter account posted something of a teaser for Play Pass, letting us know that the service is "coming soon".

While Apple Arcade has promised to offer games from major developers made exclusively for the Apple Arcade subscription holders, it is not sure yet whether the Google Play Pass would offer a similar service o not. These apps will be free to use on a monthly basis subscription of the Pass. It feels like $9.99 is the more logical price point but time will tell.

Apple Arcade is expected to launch in fall, along with the company's other highly anticipated products. The message didn't include any details or new information, so all we have to go on is the screenshots we received from a tester in July. Back in March this year, Apple launched its game streaming platform called Apple Arcade featuring more than 100 games. This means that Android users in India might get the subscription service at a distinct price point and with some other premium apps and games that what would be available in the U.S. or Europe. We have seen this on the Xbox Game Pass, as games become older and less popular they are removed from the list to keep the entire selection of titles in the subscription more appealing. Now competition for the service has been confirmed to arrive in the form of Google Play Pass on Android.

Google Play Pass was first reported back in October previous year.
