Empire's Terrence Howard Says He's Done with Acting: 'I'm Done Pretending'

During the interview, the star broke the news that he'll be retiring from acting once his time as Lucious Lyon wraps.

"Oh, I'm done with acting".

While we are watching the final season of Power, another staple in the Hip-Hop community, Empire, will reach its television end.

When requested whether or not he would as an alternative give attention to philanthropic efforts, he replied, "No, not philanthropy; I'm simply specializing in bringing reality to the world".

Terrence didn't elaborate on the "truth" he plans on focusing on next.

So what will the actor, known for starring in some of Black Hollywood's most iconic films, miss most about Empire?

"I love the cast members", he told Kryst. The new season begins on September 24 and the stars of the series are expressing how much they miss Jussie Smollett on set.

The "Hustle & Flow" actor's announcement comes a few months after it was claimed he is being investigated for criminal tax evasion.

The federal government has doubts on him of committing financial crimes and Mira Pak whom he had divorced in the year 2015 but got engaged to her again later in 2018. "I'm done pretending", Howard told Kryst after being asked about his plans following the end of Empire.

Howard was reportedly hit with $143,538.61 tax lien by the State of California Franchise Tax Board in April, for taxes he allegedly owes from 2010.
