Xiaomi's Global Vice President and Xiaomi India Head, Manu Kumar Jain took Twitter to announce the news that after the 64MP camera phone, Xiaomi will bring the 100MP camera phone that'll have the sensor with 108000000 pixels and 12032×9024 resolution. First, the GW1 uses a 1/1.7-inch ultra-large bottom sensor, which is 34% larger than their previous sensor and supports four-in-one pixel-binning technology. However the company didn't clarify whether this 100MP smartphone will have Samsung ISOCELL sensors.

Called the ISOCELL Bright HMX, the new sensor is a collaboration between Xiaomi and Samsung, and offers features, Samsung claims, that were so far reserved for high-end DSLR cameras.

"It uses low ISO in high-brightness environments, and high ISO in dark-light environments to achieve the best signal-to-noise ratio for the entire scene", the company said in a statement. On top of that it can record in lossless 6K, at 30 frames per second. We're looking forward to the "Future of Camera" although not many information is available.

The inclusion of 5G will see the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G be able to connect to 5G networks like that of Telstra's, with Optus access possible very soon, too. It will likely show up in the future on a Xiaomi smartphone as Chinese smartphone makers like these types of features. The Redmi Note 7S comes with the Snapdragon 660 SoC and a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 primary rear camera instead of the Sony sensor and is more affordable than the Note 7 Pro. And it's a way for Samsung - whose smartphone sales have all but evaporated in China - to tap the world's biggest mobile arena by selling components instead of devices.
