Son Pushes BMW Birthday Present into River Because He Wanted Jaguar

Ungrateful son pushes parents' BMW gift into river because he wanted a Jaguar

A man in India was not too impressed by his parents" "cheap' gift and ended up destroying it.

Video footage has been doing the rounds showing the vehicle sinking in a river in Yamunanagar, Haryana state in Northern India.

Police eventually caught up with Akash and questioned the 22-year-old about the submerged BMW.

"Akashi was demanding for a Jaguar vehicle from his father, but when his father failed to buy one, he threw away his BMW in a fit of anger", a local police official said. "His family had sold the [Toyota] Innova they had received from his in-laws to buy him the BMW", he said. The auto was driven to the edge of the bank, and then pushed the rest of the way.

News outlet NDTV reports that the young man was given the white BMW 3-Series from his parents for his birthday but it wasn't the vehicle he wanted.

Local police say the man filmed the auto in the water and sent the video to his parents.

"We could only afford to give him a BMW, while he kept on insisting that he be given a Jaguar", he continued.

"We thought there may be somebody in the auto, but when those engaged in rescue operations reached the vehicle they found none inside", a villager said. The Brat of the Year frontrunner reportedly admitted to dumping the BMW in the canal because he didn't get the Jaguar he desired.

That young man goes by the name of Akash and is the son of a wealthy land owner in Yamunanagar village.
