Allegiant Offers New Non-Stop Service to Sarasota

Beginning November 25, Allegiant will offer service from South Bend to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport in Florida. "We know Fort Wayne-area travelers will take advantage of these convenient, affordable flights to explore the handsome beaches of southwest Florida".

Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez says the crew base Allegiant placed at the Indy airport in 2018 is a real advantage for Indy travelers.

"With this new announcement, Allegiant will now serve 20 nonstop routes from SRQ, providing our community and visitors convenient choices and low fares", Piccolo said in the release.

The new flights will operate twice every week.

"The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority works hard to retain and attract new air service to northeast IN, and this is a result of those efforts", said Scott Hinderman, executive director of airports. "This new route adds yet another low-priced nonstop destination for northeast IN residents to enjoy".

Just like Fort Wayne, South Bend International Airport is also adding a new nonstop flight to Sarasota-Bradenton.

Additionally, the budget carrier will launch five seasonal routes from Punta Gorda, Florida, including Elmira, New York (November 13); Charleston, South Carolina (November 14); Memphis, Tennessee (November 15); Norfolk, Virginia (November 15) and Sioux Falls, South Dakota (November 15).

The airline said seats and dates were limited, and the price was not available for all flights.
