Spears, parents talk in court; evaluation sought

Britney Spears

Britney's father Jamie has been the singer's sole conservator for the past 11 years, which means he is now the only person who can look at her medical files.

Last month, we reported on Britney Spears checking into a mental health facility due to the emotional distress the crooner felt in relation to her father's medical problems.

According to People, Britney Spears appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom with her mother, Lynne Spears, in a closed hearing, where the judge reportedly ordered an expert evaluation of the singer. The children were born extremely close together and Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has custody of the boys. At a concert in Memphis earlier this month, Miley Cyrus yelled "Free Britney" while singing her hit "Party in the U.S.A", whose lyrics references the fellow pop star.

However, the singer's family was able to remove Lutfi from Britney's life in 2009, when the artist got a three-year restraining order against him and was subsequently placed under conservatorship. Jamie has been Britney's conservator since 2008 following his daughter's breakdown the year prior. "Yay for me", she wrote, adding winking emojis.

The court appearance was one of the Toxic star's first outings since she completed mental health treatment in a wellness centre.

Our sources involved in Spears' Las Vegas deal tell us at the end of a year ago, Britney began calling her team and expressing the desire to do another residency.

Jamie Lynn immediately responded to the troll, writing she has never "been paid a dime" by her sister.

Singer Britney Spears mother, Lynn Spears, attends the Lifetime Television "Breast Cancer Heroes Luncheon" at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sept.r 27, 2004.

James Spears suffered a ruptured colon last November, and Britney canceled her planned Las Vegas residency, Domination, and all other work commitments as a result.

But Penny has not indicated she is inclined to make any major moves, and ordered another status hearing for September.

"Shortly after Ms. Spears checked herself into a mental health facility, Lutfi began a new campaign of harassment against Ms. Spears and her family".

According to the documents, Lutfi allegedly pretended to "have a professional relationship with Ms. Spears, even falsely claiming to have been her manager".

In the same court building on Wednesday, a judge granted Spears a temporary restraining order against Sam Lutfi, a man who once claimed to be her manager and has been in legal fights with her family for a decade.
