The anonymous millionaire hopes to acquire a private island for the real-life battle royale.

Battle Royale games are gaining major popularity in the last couple of months with the likes of Activision and EA jumping on the bandwagon.

We're not joking - an anonymous millionaire is reportedly looking to setup a real-world 100-person battle royale experience on a private island with a £100,000 jackpot for the victor. In a press release earlier today, HushHush.com (which is like Amazon for the super rich) announced that it's helping an anonymous millionaire create a 100 player battle royale using airsoft weapons and ammo with touch-sensitive body armour.

After the v8.30 update was deployed today, everything players had uncovered at the Look Lake digging site a few days ago is now covered again, and players can still dig it up to uncover the whole site a second time.

The real-life battle royale championship will be contested over three days, with competitors required to take part in 12-hour sessions before settling in for the night each day. The organisers appear to give much consideration to safety, as they promise to provide food and all the necessary equipment, including that for overnight camping.

Would-be gamemakers, who should have experience in large-scale event and set design, will need to apply by 22 April, with successful applicants notified by 10 May. Like your regular video game battle royale, the last person standing wins, and in this case, they win £100,000 ($140,351 AUD). Harpin adds, "If the championship is a success this year, it's something he wants to make an annual event moving forward, which is very exciting".

Those looking to snag the job can expect a salary of around £45,000, or £1,500 daily for a likely six-week duration.

'However, to get there, our concierge team needs some help to make it a reality. "The first thing we need is a talented game-maker to help us make the event as realistic as possible".
