Rebellion announces remastered Sniper Elite v2 out this year

Two Sniper Elite Games Coming To Nintendo Switch

Sniper Elite V2 is getting a remaster for PC, and modern consoles, including Nintendo Switch. While it was only teased a teeny tiny bit, Rebellion is working on a VR Sniper Elite game for PC. They also announced Sniper Elite 5 and Sniper Elite VR, the latter co-developed by Just Add Water, but neither were ready to show.

Multiplayer and Co-Op - Gather your squad and compete in 7 uniquely tense multiplayer modes, now for up to 16 players online (on supported platforms).

There's something magical about the catharsis that Rebellion's Sniper Elite series is capable of delivering when all the pieces line up.

Confirmation of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered also brings with it a new reveal trailer, in which you can get a first look at Karl Fairburne's mission in which he's deployed to Berlin in 1945.

The British studio has indeed announced that there are four new Sniper Elite games in the making, including the first one ever released on Nintendo Switch. These include the leaked Sniper Elite V2 remaster, as well as other Switch and VR projects, and a full sequel. More details promise to reveal in the coming year. Clients have included Lorne Lanning's Oddworld Inhabitants (Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath & Oddworld: New & Tasty), Bossa Studios (I Am Bread), Codemasters (Micro Machines World Series), Bithell Games (Volume & Volume: Coda), and Rising Star Games (Lumo).

You want Sniper Elite? Don't worry though, because they did, in fact, confirm that Sniper Elite 5 is in development. It will, of course, have all the enhanced graphical upgrades you'd expect from a modern game, as well as 4K resolution and HDR support.

The next major title in the Sniper Elite series, following in the footsteps of the widely acclaimed Sniper Elite 4, is being worked on now.
