Real Madrid coach Zidane: Ceballos deserved his selection

Zidane Isco quiere jugar así que nada de expediente

Zidane is wasting no time in changing things around at the Bernabeu, with Marco Asensio and Isco making the starting XI on Saturday afternoon. Karim Benzema did put the ball in the back of the net but the whistle had been blown for a foul by Gareth Bale in the buildup. I am going to count on them.

Bale played a pivotal role in delivering Real a third straight Champions League title last May, but despite scoring twice in the final against Liverpool, it was the fact Zidane started him on the bench which saw the Welshman admit afterwards he may leave in search of regular first-team football.

But Real Madrid chiefs recently fired Santiago Solari after poor games this season and made a decision to hire former coach Zidane.

Zidane's first point of call was to call Ramos who was reportedly threatening to leave the club should Jose Mourinho be brought back as manager. As quoted by the Daily Mail, Solskjaer said: "I can't really comment on Gareth Bale or specific players".

Real were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage by Ajax.

Navas, Real's number one in each of those triumphs, had been relegated to second choice with the signing of Thibaut Courtois and had only made three league starts before getting the nod ahead of the Belgian against Celta. But with just 11 matches left to play this season, and no trophies to win, Zidane has opted to use the players he knows well from his previous spell.
